Responsible for implementing Quality Management (QM) and compliance processes for the Information Technology (I/T) organization.
Job Functions: * Ensures Quality in Web, Client Server and Mainframe Banking Applications. * Works with Development, Quality Management (QM), Infrastructure and Business User teams to develop, publish and execute software QM test plans. * Develops User Acceptance test plans and guides Business Users through the execution. Reviews progress toward the plan regularly with QM, Developers and Business Users and makes modifications as necessary. * Identifies defects in application code and makes recommendations for application functionality improvements. * Participates in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) function. * Create tests that model business and technical scenarios to validate that the system functions as intended and to expose risks related to unintended consequences * Document clear and well-targeted test scenarios with expected results based on business and technical requirements * Use analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and reduce redundancies in testing efforts, minimize complexity, and create efficiency without compromising effectiveness * Thoroughly test multiple projects and document the results by capturing test activity information during execution * Closely collaborate with development and internal User staff throughout the entire project
Qualifications: * Associate’s Degree in an I/T related field or equivalent work experience. * Prior software / infrastructure testing on Web, Client Server and Mainframe Banking Applications a plus. * Analytical and intuitive thinker with a positive attitude. * Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities. * Good communicator with proactive approach. * Familiarity with financial/banking applications a plus. * Flexibility and ability to adapt to change and cultural realities.
