The Executive Director of Planning, Assessment, and Improvement manages the institutional research, compliance, planning, accreditation, and assessment activities of the College. The Executive Director oversees the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Improvement, which includes the College’s institutional research department. The Executive Director supports quality improvement by working with decision makers across the College to enhance the understanding, collection, and use of data in decision-making, planning, assessment, and continuous improvement. The Executive Director coordinates the preparation of local, private, state and federal reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the Office of Planning, Assessment, & Improvement, which includes the College’s Institutional Research department.
Institutional Research: Coordinate all institutional research activities of the College, including data mining and analysis.
Strategic Planning: Facilitate institutional and unit-level strategic planning, including development and measurement of key performance indicators and strategic goals.
Accreditation: Act as Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, directing all accreditation activities of the College.
Assessment: Lead college-wide assessment activities, including the assessment of strategic initiatives, institutional services and departments, and student learning in conjunction with the Associate Dean of Business, Arts, Sciences, and Technology.
Performs other departmental related duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
Master’s degree in data analytics, social science, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field. Doctorate preferred.
Three to five years of related experience in higher education.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of transactional databases (Jenzabar preferred), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.
Understanding of SQL or another programming language and familiarity with a report writing tool such as InfoMaker, crystal reports, Oracle reports, or others.
Knowledge of and experience with statistics, research design and analysis, technical report writing and survey methods, strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
