POSITION TITLE: SENIOR OPERATIONS ANALYST, INVESTOR SERVICES OPS/RISK MGMT
DEPARTMENT: RISK MANAGEMENT
Bachelor degree or related experience required
Minimum 5 years of transfer agent, internal audit, compliance or related operational experience required.
Project management experience and prior quality control, audit or oversight experience preferred.
Knowledge of financial services industry required.
Knowledge of mutual fund industry operations and related regulatory requirements preferred.
Knowledge of Federated products, operations, organization, systems and operating policies preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft products including formulas and queries in databases required.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of all relevant regulatory rules and regulations (i.e. 1940 Act, SEC Rule 22c-1, 22c-2.) Apply that knowledge to implement effective work processes.
Perform oversight for Transfer Agency functions.
Assess the risk associated with client intermediaries by reviewing intermediary operating processes, procedures, contracts, 3rd party audit reports and trade data.
Analyze transaction processing associated with ISRM daily responsibilities to ensure compliance with prospectus guidelines and requirements.
Work with external vendors and clients on projects and compliance related initiatives related to transaction monitoring. This includes, but is not limited to, the analysis of transaction data, mapping of incoming files, recommending enhancements to applications and establishing corresponding business requirements.
Assist in the maintenance and documentation of department / company policies and procedures.
Create monthly and quarterly reports of volumes, trends and fund related information for senior management using multiple applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerselect and MARS).
Provide feedback and recommendations to ICI industry initiatives/questionnaires, Committee requests and requests from Senior Management.
Assist in the monitoring and quality control of day to day activities.
