The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for developing automation to support performing the functional, integration and system level test verification of Rhiza's products and solutions.
Identifying areas of quality improvement.
Developing test strategies and test cases and/or procedures to support the automated software validation/verification needs of the software development organization.
Developing strategies and metrics for effective load, performance, and stress testing activities.
Developing automation of test infrastructure to support functional, integration, and system level testing to simulate clients’ use of the software. This includes test setup, execution, and problem reporting and documentation.
Documenting, verifying and resolving defects identified during testing.
Proactively learning new applications and tools in support of testing efforts.
Maintaining consistency between multiple testing environments with respect to production.
Reproducing field problems and assisting support when needed.
Assisting with product specifications (e.g. wish list, future development, new ideas, etc).
Managing day-to-day tasks productively, without management direction
BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or the equivalent in work experience.
3 or more years’ professional experience specifically including test automation development
Ability to extract use cases from functional requirements and client interaction and then author test cases from these use cases and build to suit.
Attention to detail along with the ability to communicate clearly, verbally, and in writing.
Experience with and understanding of Software QA methodologies (e.g. requirements analysis, test planning, functional testing, usability testing, performance testing, etc.).
Experience with software development projects resulting in successful product deliveries.
Specific experience using protractor (or similar end-to-end testing tools) is ideal
Experience with data pipeline (ETL/ELT) validation is a bonus
