Pay rate: $14-$18/hour depending on experience (will go over $18 for candidates with CDL license or PADEP waste water operator’s license)
Shift: Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm (2 hours on weekends every 6 weeks)

Job Summary: Under the supervision and direction of the Manager and Facilities Supervisor, perform tasks pertinent to the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment system and sludge disposal plan. This position requires the ability to work independently without close supervision.
Performs preventative, repair, and seasonal maintenance on all buildings, equipment, and grounds
Performs utility and custodial duties throughout all facilities
Operate and maintain treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge and effluent.
Assist in the start-up of new equipment.
Perform occasional welding duties
Assist in maintenance of all preventative, corrective, and rehabilitative activities on treatment plant and pump station equipment, sewer lines and appurtenances, and vehicles.
Keep proper maintenance records and work orders on all equipment and vehicles.
Perform custodial and grounds keeping duties.
Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies, equipment and tools.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Authority-maintained sewer lines, manholes and pump stations.
Ability to perform meter reading on set route. Position requires extended standing and walking at times
Previous maintenance repair experience
Ability to apply shop mathematics to practical problems.
Manual dexterity and coordination in the use of simple hand tools. Ability to utilize uncomplicated tools and equipment as needed.
Capable of performing various physical activities associated with the job such as: turning valves, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, lifting 75 pounds repetitively.
