Our client's Copywriter is responsible for the ongoing creation, refinement and consistency of the brand voice for all business units across all marketing channels. The Copywriter also is responsible for understanding and clearly communicating the benefits of our client's products, branding capabilities and services.
Develop and edit copy for all print, email, digital, web, video and related media. Copy should be engaging, communicate benefits, create awareness and generate results.
Create foundational brand copy for use by other team members across all marketing mediums so that consistent messages are being communicated in a consistent voice.
Partner with designers, project managers and marketing managers to develop effective copy, communicate concepts and keep projects on their timelines.
Plan and conceptualize with graphic designers to develop and execute special projects.
Edit marketing copy to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and consistency of style, tone and language.
Propose new ideas and incorporate improvements based on metrics that identify what’s driving customers to action.
Develop and implement processes, standards and guidelines for ongoing copy development.
Maintain understanding of all customers.
Research, observe and take guidance from ecommerce trends, retailers and consumer behavior.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Digital copywriting experience with knowledge of SEO.
Excellent conceptual skills, with an awareness of how copy interacts with graphic design and typography.
Expert editing and proofreading skills.
Results-driven approach; understanding that the objective of the writing is to affect customer behavior.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills, both personal and departmental.
Ability to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to accept feedback and make appropriate revisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
2+ years as a copywriter with a corporate marketing department or creative agency.
At least 1 year of experience writing for direct marketing, online or print.
Bachelor’s degree required; Advertising major preferred.
