Compunetix is currently seeking a Data Management Specialist to perform technical administration duties for data archive, development and maintenance. The successful candidate provides technical support and coordination during archive design, testing and use, acts as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers, and analysts from a Data Management perspective, implements and enforces standards and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently and properly integrated within the archive, and implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
Engineering Services Support
Update and manage data in the MRP (Material, Resource, and Planning) system including but not limited to: BOM Generation, part numbers, etc. per ISO controlled procedures
Process engineering change notices and production releases
Transfer electronic data releases to engineering release files
Maintain and control access to libraries of manufacturer data sheets, engineering standards, and software development tools
Electronic Document Management
Collaborate with engineering personnel to establish procedures for creating, handling, storing, and retrieving engineering documents
Document engineering procedures by writing work instructions and designing forms.
Create and maintain database to organize Capital Equipment, Software licensing, Technical Documentation, Regulatory Documentation
Research the latest developments in Electronic Document Management (EDM), Product Data Management (PDM), and Configuration Management (CM)
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science plus some related work experience required, or appropriate equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Adobe Acrobat / Reader DC, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work and communicate with different technical disciplines at all levels
