The University of Pittsburgh Department of Immunology is seeking an experienced Senior Research Specialist to work on cutting-edge research of adoptive TCR-T cell immunotherapy.
The incumbent has the opportunity to participate in the development and screening of functional TCR-T cells, evaluating the engineered T cells in pre-clinical mouse models including cancer and bone marrow transplantation to support the successful translation into clinical applications.
Responsibilities for this position include: 1. Sterile technique and mammalian cell culture (murine and/or human primary immune cell isolation and expansion)2. Flow cytometry and relevant data analysis3. Basic molecular biology, for example, qPCR, cloning, transformation, etc.4. Mouse colony management (breeding, genotyping, working with different mouse models).
Experience with lentiviral and retroviral vectors is preferred, and a strong background in immunology is desirable.Publications or abstracts a candidate has submitted or been included on with other researchers, or a document or description of previous research projects can be included with the application.
