Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry is hiring a Network Architect. This is a full-time position located to the north of the city of Pittsburgh. This position is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, support, and security of high performance global communication technologies and services interconnecting all company sites. This network integrates all network sites globally, and enables the delivery of computing and network services from their data centers and cloud-based providers. Candidates should have eight or more years of experience.
Expert in network and data communication protocols, technologies, security and services.
Able to design, implement and support a converged network consisting of voice, data and video traffic.
Demonstrated skills in project planning, project management, documentation, problem-solving and work prioritizing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with end-users, management, IT professionals and vendors
Excellent customer service skills including telephone techniques, listening skills, sense of urgency and enthusiasm
Able to identify and assess alternatives, make decisions and communicate the process and logic. Understands and balances business and technical issues in decision making
Must be collaborative, facilitative, team-oriented and self-motivated
Able to recruit, develop, manage and motivate a team of technical professionals
Culturally sensitive- values diversity, able to understand and cooperate with other team members from different cultures
Eight of more years of experience in systems, network and telephony planning, design and management
More than three years proven experience in project management
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area. Advanced Degree preferred.
Willing to travel, domestic and minimal international
