At Matrix, we make media happen.  The qualified individual should have a passion for applying automation in the area of software testing and take great pride in ensuring the delivery of quality software to our customers.  He/She will be eager in assuring that software products meet the quality objectives of our company, as well as collaborating with other team members to achieve the best results.

Core Responsibilities and Focus

Create

• Create automated and manual test suites to perform functional, performance, security, and regression testing of web-based and mobile applications. Manage issues by acting as central contact from issue submission through issue closure

• Participate in all aspects of the building a software solution by providing input during design meetings, planning meetings, product demos, and incorporating customer feedback
• Understand best modern practices with an eye for automation

 Collaborate

• Work in tandem with our clients, product owners, architects, developers, and testers to create efficient and scalable software designs that help solve enterprise-level business problems, meet business objectives, and support long-term company growth
• Help by participating in the promotion of Matrix Solutions to the local tech industry of Pittsburgh; assist in recruiting and interviewing as needed
• Regularly communicate project status and risks to the team and management

• Help build a culture of learning and continuous improvement
• Use Agile methodologies to support team members on a daily basis for product feedback, issue resolution and product implementation strategies
• Expand knowledge in other development team functions such as builds, deployments, acceptance criteria creation, and database management
