JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The MQ / Middleware Administrator position will assume ownership for overseeing the entire MQ product Suite configuration, implementation, tuning and debugging of the software platforms. The MQ / Middleware Administrator will be accountable for the creation and coordination of relationships with interrelated IT departments (Security, Network, EPS Team, Technical Support and PC Support groups), the Internal MQ-MFT & MQ-Broker users as well as Business partners. They will be required to act as a liaison with external Dollar Bank Corporate customers on behalf of the overall IT department as required. Experience with IBM DataPower, other API Management or Web Application solutions (F5, Vordel, Apigee) is also valuable.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITES/OBJECTIVES: * Reviewing and coordination of the Software Installation procedure with the Distributed Services Infrastructure Support team as well as all Departmental Systems Administrators to ensure that it is correct and meets the business/technical needs. Document all developed processes and procedures. * Reviewing the Security architecture and settings with Information Security to ensure that they meet the software and Bank requirements. * Work wit h various IT and Business units and cross functional teams to configure the software to meet the needs of the MQ software users * Daily monitoring of MQ-Broker application error queues for issues and instituting resolution of any errors discovered. Daily exit review of all queues for zero queue depth. * Preform security administration within the product level security tier, and work with IS access control team for other layers of security requirements. * Configure or support the configuration of any required real-time product monitoring for pro-active error handling. The MQ product is designed to REQUIRE a certain level of monitoring to satisfy operational needs * Performing any required product performance benchmarking, load testing etc. * Performing any required product capacity planning activity * Providing design and development support for the product users as a product Subject Matter Expert * Develop relationships with, and be the liaison between our business customers’s technical support Teams and any 3rd party/customer team’s technical support staff. * Providing production support and debugging for all banking applications associated with middleware (7 x 24) as the initial level 1 contact person.
