SUMMARY We are working with a software developer and service provider to identify the successful candidate to fill the role of a Lead Generator / Sales Development. This is a newly created role due to recent growth linked to new product offerings. This company offers software and services targeted to assist customers involved in a very noble industry that helps the lives of others. They are a privately held company with approximately 30 employees and have a highly tenured staff.
Due to new product offerings that are ready to launch, our client is expanding its sales force and is actively looking to hire a Lead Generator / Sales Development to operate as the front of the sales team with the purpose of cultivating lead growth by prospecting, educating, qualifying, and developing relationships with prospective customers. Advancement potential to move into an inside sales role in the future exists based on proven success in this position.
POSITION Responsibilities to include: • Identify and create new qualified sales opportunities based on proactive, relevant research and study of potential customers. • Utilize emails, calls, and various other social selling tools to send relevant, engaging messaging to prospects, with an emphasis on presenting the value of our solution, educating them on our solution, and establishing appropriate customer expectations. • Handoff qualified leads to Account Executives. • Continuously document activities, intelligence, information, and contacts and forecast sales qualification activity within the CRM platform. • Maintain a minimum appropriate number of calls daily. • Exemplify professional work ethic, flexibility, coach-ability, and culture.
BASE REQUIREMENTS • 1+ year(s) experience in sales development, lead generation, or sales. • Experience in relationship development, opportunity identification, pre-call planning, cold-calling, email-marketing, opportunity qualification, and objection-handling preferred. • Ability to overcome objections, get beyond gatekeepers, and persuade prospects. • Proficiency with MS Office and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). • Possess skills in time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and communication / interpersonal relations. • Exceptional skill with writing, communication, and listening. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
