We are hiring an Instrumentation Engineer to work in our Pittsburgh, PA location. A PLC programmer highly skilled in programming in multiple PLC development software(Rockwell, Siemens, Codesys etc), especially using Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, Structured Text and visualization. Candidate must also possess the ability to establish and troubleshoot communications to various field instruments, control wiring and PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens & Eaton, etc). Also must be well versed with integration between interfaces with a sound understanding on multiple device protocols. Experience in extensive front-end HMI development preferred.
The candidate will be expected to collaborate with Process Engineering team to implement the process control logic and able to write specification for I/O modules and component selection for design of electrical and control circuits.
Programming, simulation, testing, and start-up are part of primary roles.
A self-starter(with minimum supervision) who can write new PLC code, design, and program HMI Interfaces along with assisting in the development of schematics, wiring and panel layout designs.
The responsibilities will also include writing technical procedures, field wiring instructions and preparing documentation for the applications including operations, troubleshooting, user guide, etc. while assisting in training users on new programs.
Experience:PLC Programming: 3+ years (Required)
Education: Bachelor's (Required) Engineering degree in related field
3+ years’ hands on programming experience on PLC’s specifically integrating field
Knowledge and experience on validating the HMI software for 21 CFR Part 11, GMP and GAMP protocols
Experience with multiple communication protocols, mainly Ethernet, other deviceNET etc.
Extensive knowledge of National Electrical regulatory standards
Experience working with Databases (specifically Windows 10)
Extensive automation experience (integration)
Experience with AllenBradley/Siemens/Codesys and other PLC’s preferable
