We are growing, and currently have an employment opening for a Technical Account Manager/vCIO.
The Technical Account Manager/vCIO is responsible for managing the business relationship with assigned managed services clients.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage the business relationship with assigned managed services clients. Ensure high client satisfaction and engagement.
Manage the sale of Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) for managed services for assigned clients. Maintains this revenue, protects this revenue, and grows this revenue.
Manages sales opportunities for major and minor client projects, including: Works with client to investigate and analyze their needs and requirements; Determines the appropriate IT solution(s) and scope of work; develops and presents estimates; Develops and present proposals; Closes sale; Manages transition to order processing and service delivery.
Manage the sale of products, including: hardware, software licenses, online services and maintenance renewals.
Conduct periodic Strategic IT Review and Planning Meetings with clients.
Review and approve invoice detail prior to client invoices being generated and sent..
Serve as an escalation point for account management problems, client issues, collections, etc.
Ensure high quality support services are provided, in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
A two-year associate’s degree or four-year bachelor’s degree in the field of business, computers, network administration or Information Technology, or equivalent experience and/or training.
5+ years of experience working with small and mid-size businesses in a services-based business. Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience is preferred and helpful.3+ years of experience in performing technical account management and/or vCIO duties
Strong knowledge of computer networking and computer infrastructure technologies, and computer support needs for small and midsize businesses.
Sandler Selling System training and/or TruMethods vCIO training is helpful.
Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office software skills, including: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience with ConnectWise software and QuoteWerks software is a plus.
Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with C-level customers and business partners. Excellent presentation skills.
Good typing skills and excellent telephone skills.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Ability to work independently, but also as a strong supportive team member.
Ability to handle frequent pressures, including demanding client contact, meeting time deadlines, and multitasking.
Ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy when dealing with clients in all types of organizational positions and with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
Strong problem solving skills.
Work Location, Environment, Conditions:
Location: Regular local car travel in the Greater Pittsburgh area is required, using a personal vehicle. Some work for this position is performed in our office in Monroeville, PA office. Other work for this position is sometimes performed in the field, onsite at the offices of our clients in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. A valid driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and a responsible driving record are required.
Physical Requirements: Normal Office, light work (lift up to 20 lbs). The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, mouse, telephone and basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see and hear. Ability to drive a vehicle.
