As a Technical Support Analyst, you will perform analytical and technical work in the installation of new and existing systems for clients; diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents, confer with clients technical staff to provide guidance on types of hardware and software required; install or guide the client IT staff with installation of the software and supporting database; troubleshoot and resolve issues with customer systems and peripheral equipment; and prepare progress reports for all work performed.
What you need to do:
Provide technical assistance and direction to new client IT staff to install and configure the application. Responsibilities include:
o Setting up the Microsoft SQL or Oracle database;
o Installing the of Net Health applications on workstations and/or Citrix farm;
o Configuring supported peripheral devices such as document scanners, signature pads, fax servers, and email support;
o Configuring application-supported web portals (e.g., Employer Portal, Employee Incident Self-Reporting Portal, Manager Portal, Patient Portal);
o Connecting to third-party services (e.g. SureScripts, Multum, ExitCare);
o Installing the training system and database on individual workstations;
In a hosted configuration, perform all the aforementioned technical functions in addition to:
o Administering and monitoring the hosted environment (e.g. Microsoft Windows client/server; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft IIS) on an ongoing basis;
o Installing and publishing Citrix applications;
o Creating, monitoring, and maintaining the client’s hosted Active Directory environment;
o Implementing, conducting, and monitoring client’s backup and recovery services;
o Configuring client workstations and user accounts for secure access to the hosted environment;
o Troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues between clients and the hosted site;
Client database (DBMS) application support responsibilities include:
o Translation, mapping, validation and conversion of client-provided seed-table data to create new client databases;
o Assisting clients with formatting, configuration and validation of table structures to facilitate initial and ongoing DBMS imports of patient demographic data and initial conversion of historic data;
Day-to-day support activities include:
o Project managing client database and software upgrades;
o Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day application and operational issues for clients;
o Replication of application defects and documenting same for submission to development for correction;
o Creating and updating technical and knowledgebase documentation.
