The Pittsburgh Technology Council is currently seeking a Director of Industry Networks to lead and drive the programs and services that we offer to information technology and advanced manufacturing related businesses within our membership.
The Director of Industry Networks serves in the following capacities:
Industry Expert: As the Council's industry expert, this position is expected to develop a keen awareness of the challenges and opportunities that impact the region's information technology and advanced manufacturing communities, while also maintaining strong and current knowledge about national and international trends in those sectors.
Liaison: The Director will develop an active outreach program focused on developing an intimate understanding of the specific capabilities and challenges of individual member companies.
Connector and Advocate: Armed with firsthand knowledge of our members' capabilities and interests, the Director will provide direct services to Council members, including introductions to specific customers, connections to peers within the target industry and additional Council services in government affairs, visibility and talent.
Forum and Program Development: As a core strategy to connect our members with market and business intelligence, as well as direct introduction to customers, the Director will lead a comprehensive schedule of Council programs including, among others:
-Information Technology Network:
Information Technology Network programs include full day and half day sessions on topics such as Big Data, Cyber Security, or Artificial Intelligence. They also entails managing an ongoing series of CIO Insights Programs and management of the CTO Network.
-Advanced Manufacturing Network:
The Advanced Manufacturing Network is focused on helping manufacturing companies connect with customers, identify industry best practices and on supporting a pro-growth business climate for the region’s manufacturing economy. Programs in the network include our Explore-the-Floor Series and our Made In PA Supplier Forum.
The successful candidate must have impeccable customer services skills, a strong understanding of business and experience operating in a fast pace event-planning capacity.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience working within the business community. Experience with event management is a MUST.
This job requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Political Science or a related field.
Must have a valid drivers' license.
