The Business Segment Manager is an experienced individual who carries an overriding responsibility to contribute to corporate sales efforts and to lead profitable business levels within their business segment. This person must contribute to sales strategies for all current and future products and have responsibility for an annual sales and gross profit budget. They must have an expert knowledge of vacuum technology products and markets, including an understanding of competitive pricing structures and the ability to develop marketing strategies.
Key Job Elements:
Responsible for the profit & loss financial statements for their business segment, which includes: revenue, budgeting, forecasting, gross profit, and cash flow.
Develop and implement accurate forecasts for strategic buys, strategies for inventory levels and demonstration equipment.
Establish global selling prices and discount schedules.
Develop and manage business strategies for product development, supply chain initiatives, continual improvement, engineering, sales management, and marketing.
Manage of Product Managers and Product Specialists within segment
Perform annual performance reviews, manage compensation packages, and set goals for direct reports.
Provide training and technical support to employees in various departments
Continually searching for new products and new markets as well as efforts to improve our existing products.
Manage acceptable profit levels for all products.
Advise Product Management group on issues pertaining to contract review, quotation review, product information, communication with other departments, situational advice, etc.
Coordinate & respond to Corrective Action Requests (CAR’s) and ensuring Long-Term Corrective Actions (LCTA) are carried out.
Correspond labor/overhead rates of production facilities and safety.
Submit business plans
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales and/or Product Management
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Vacuum industry or a related industry
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
Strong technical knowledge
Strong communication skills
Fluent in the English language
Ability to travel internationally
