Omnicell is looking expand our operations in Warrendale, PA with the addition of the Electrical Controls Manufacturing Technician position. The Technician will perform basic tests of electronic and electro/mechanical assemblies and systems. Troubleshooting and making repairs on production components, subassemblies, and systems will be a key responsibility. This individual will have the capability of repairing any reasonable product failure assignment.
Perform setup, test, and teaching of robotic systems.
Compete standard trouble-shooting procedures before escalation.
Perform complex assembly work using mechanical drawings and engineering sketches and schematics during New Product Introduction (NPI).
Inspect part tolerances using mechanical drawings.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair non-operational assemblies built in production.
Evaluate work through the testing process in order to recommend improvements to meet productivity and quality goals.
Provide product feedback to Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Manufacturing Management.
Maintain work areas following health and safety guidelines described in the 5S Standards. This includes housekeeping standards, etc.
Create a positive manufacturing environment via statistical test data for those in manufacturing and engineering to drive continuous improvement.
Perform other activities as requested by Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manufacturing Management.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of and ability to follow electrical and electronic schematics as well as mechanical drawings.
Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, calipers, calibration tools, and power tools.
Understanding of and ability to follow Automated Test Programs and Procedures used in Production.
Associate Degree in Technical discipline (Electronics, EMT, EET, Mechatronics, etc.).
Minimum of five (5) years of test and assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience utilizing standard electrical and electronic test equipment.
Basic understanding and experience with mechanical engineering concepts and principles.
Advanced computer skills.
Experience and success working in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to independently troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Strongly demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
10+ years of test and assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of generally accepted good manufacturing processes as it relates to electrical and electronic subassemblies and systems.
Experience and understanding of medical device manufacturing.
Must be able to lift various products weighing up to 50 pounds from the floor to a bench.
Must be able to use standard manufacturing hand and electric tools to install necessary components.
Requires the ability to squat or kneel, ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 4 hours at a time, and ability to utilize a ladder.
Requires near, far, depth vision.
Ability to differential colors.
