We are looking to hire a Network Engineer to join our Service Delivery & Implementation team in any one of the following cities: Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Cleveland or Columbus. Successful candidates will have significant depth and technical knowledge on network design with a variety of network devices as an administrator, engineer or consultant. The Network Engineer will be a part of the Service Delivery Engineering team to deliver managed services and product solutions for our customers. This position will design and configure network services connecting various customer and datacenter environments to their subscribed managed services. Using platforms primarily from Juniper and Cisco, the engineer will work on dedicated and shared "cloud-based" customer infrastructure, including: firewalls, content security and threat management, remote access SSLVPN appliances, load balancers, switches, routers, and VMware NSX.
5+ years as a Network Administrator or Engineer operating in either an enterprise or service provider Juniper or Cisco environment
Demonstrated level of competency with most or all of the following technologies:
In-depth principles of networking (layers 2 and 3)
The ideal candidate would possess industry technical and vendor certifications: Cisco, Juniper, and Citrix (CCNET, CCNA, CCDA, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, etc.)
Ability to prioritize and be productive in a fast-paced environment
Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to identify and resolve challenging situations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding service and response time working with customers
Passion for learning technologies and a curiosity for new ideas and/or solutions to problems
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screen
Flexibility to be available for occasional night and weekend implementation projects when required
Review the network solution and requirements provided by the sales team and customer to construct a successful design, implementation, and migration plan
Ensure delivery of standard network services and IP communication during project implementations for customers per contract
Provision necessary VLANs and IP routing within the datacenters and to/from customer premise
Provision, configuration, and troubleshooting of VPNs, firewalls, and load balancer services
Implement and document network disaster recovery services and participate on testing with the customer
Act as a trusted advisor for customers during configuration of content security, logging and threat management services
Follow implementation guidelines, processes and procedures to ensure standards and quality are met
Ensure appropriate documentation of all activity is generated and maintained during the project for effective hand-off and transition to the Operations Support Center
Partner and collaborate with project managers, customers, and internal staff at regular intervals to ensure expectations are set and that appropriate attention is being paid to customer projects
