Reflex Staffing Solutions has been engaged to assist our client for a Machine Shop Manufacturing Manager. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of precision machined metal products who services a diverse base of North American industries. Industries they supply include: automotive, material handling, fluid power, appliance, mining and electrical.
The measurement of success for this role will include customer satisfaction, the teams individual and overall job satisfaction, the smoothness and optimization of workflow and scheduling, productivity and quality metrics. This Machine Shop Manufacturing Manager will have the responsibility and authority to design and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies within the CNC and Screw Machining Department. This Manager reporting directly to the company President, will evaluate new equipment and machining technologies to enhance and improve their current processes.
Supervising and evaluating employees.
Assigning and scheduling daily job duties
Creating engineering masters
Creating and designing tool drawings
Creating setup sheets for screw machine parts
Quoting for new and existing parts
Developing and analyzing production and plant reports
Applying lean manufacturing techniques
Working with senior management
Coordinating various plant operations including special projects
Must have previous team lead, supervisory or production management experience in a screw machine environment
Must have hands on experience with manual screw machining operations
Must have hands on experience in CNC machining operations and programming
Must have knowledge of and have helped implement lean Six Sigma
Ability to read, analyze and understand production of parts from engineering prints
