SUMMARY We are working with a growing, US manufacturer of highly specialized products and components specific to the medical, security, and research industries to identify a mid to senior level Electrical Engineer.

This role requires a strong technical and engineering background. In support of research and new product development, the Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and produce radiation detection systems. The ideal candidate will have established analog and digital experience, including product design, development, and launch experience, as well as, the love of working in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Actively participate in design, implementation, verification, validation and documentation of prototype, pilot, and production designs. • Conduct tests, experiments, and characterization of prototypes. Document results, investigate unusual performance, and compile and publish reports. • Revise prototype designs for manufacturability and release to production. • Provide trouble shooting for existing products, designs, and test fixtures. • Coordinate development efforts with firmware and software developers.
REQUIRED SKILLS • Expert knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics development methodologies including design for quality and manufacturability. • Expert knowledge of analog and digital electronics design. • Expert knowledge of PCB design tools such as OrCAD or Altium. • Proficiency in trouble shooting and repair of mixed analog/digital systems. • Knowledge of embedded and SOC systems. • Familiarity with placing wafer level orders of custom ASICs preferred. • VHDL and/or C language programming a plus. • Ability to operate oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal/function generators, multi-meters, data acquisition cards, and bench top power supplies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering; Computer Engineering may be considered provided sufficient hardware and systems design expertise can be demonstrated. • 5+ years of experience in circuit design including requirements specification, board design and layout, prototyping, troubleshooting, revision, component procurement, and assembly that must include: • Hands on experience with electronic test setups and fixtures for testing electronic devices. • Hands on experience testing and validating electronic circuit designs. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
