SUMMARY We are looking for someone with accounting knowledge who would be interested in learning to process full cycle payroll for around 700 employees in the Pittsburgh region. This person will work alongside the Payroll Manager in the corporate office in Saxonburg, PA. They will be assisted by staff in the Accounting and HR departments; as well as staff in the other locations who help employees with payroll at their site.
POSITION Responsibilities include: • Process biweekly hourly and salaried payroll • Track overtime, call offs and paid time off • Process deductions and garnishments • Enter payroll deductions into the general ledger and make sure they balance • Help to manage paperwork coming from HR for unemployment claims, new hires, terminations, pay rate and status changes, leave of absence • Assist employees with questions regarding payroll
Weekly work schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Pays $15.00 - $16.00 an hour to start; with room for growth based on performance. Benefits are offered.
REQUIREMENTS • Bookkeeping, accounting OR payroll knowledge is required • Microsoft Word and Excel skills • Good communication and problem solving skills • Good organizational skills and attention to detail • Friendly, professional and helpful to employees • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
