The Senior Product Manager, IV Solutions will be responsible for the product life cycle management of the IV Solutions business. This is a highly visible and key role within the organization spanning many activities from strategic to tactical in defining and executing the product strategy. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, engineering, customers, and all levels throughout the organization; requiring strong communication and influencing skills and providing subject matter expertise in complex situations. This individual will drive new product development activities by identifying and quantifying market opportunities, managing all aspects of product launch activities, maximizing sales revenues, market share and profit margins for the product portfolio.
Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver business results.
Effectively communicate customer and market requirements to engineering team leveraging broader market trends, indices, competitive capabilities, and greenfield opportunities.
Interface effectively and establish quick credibility and confidence with: Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, and Customers.
Serves as the primary point person and senior trusted resource to receive and disposition all product feedback using sound logic and comprehensive analysis to justify decisions.
Responsible for developing strategic marketing plans for a product or product line through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning.
Develop new product feature and functionality in partnership with Engineering.
Develop and present customer use-case examples to engineering and is the primary bridge between customer feedback and requirements and R&D.
Define marketing strategy including value proposition, targeted market segment, product life cycle management.
Lead advisory board activities to obtain actionable market and end-user feedback.
Maintains and provides key customer input to the core team.
Maintains customer feature request for the product/solution.
To work effectively as a Senior Product Manager, the position involves executing in the following areas:
Develop deep understanding of market segments and complex customer needs and effectively translates to clear marketing requirements for product development.
Track complex market dynamics and competitive products and develops strategies to counter competitive strengths and exploit competitor weaknesses.
Develop forecasts, analyze current volumes and predict future volumes and trends of Omnicell products.
Collect, analyze, prioritize and respond to product feature requests for existing and new products
Work closely with existing Product Management to develop clear, forward-looking product integration strategies and to eliminate duplicate development efforts.
Identify new product ideas and improvements for the product line, build the appropriate business case to justify the investment, and manage the process to gain approval for project funding.
Leverage strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of the P&L to develop strategies and programs to drive increases in revenue and profit.
Deliver compelling internal and external presentations on status and future strategies for the product.
New Product Development
Drive continuous improvement in the product development process by focusing on clarity, expelling ambiguity and accelerating development velocity to deliver business results.
Responsible for the Marketing Requirements Document for all products in development.
Select customer features and functions for development and prioritize features and functions for product releases working with Core Team Leads on customer needs, sales issues, competitive issues, etc.
Lead product launch and go-to-market strategy and plans including all sales tools, pricing, promotions, quoting requirements to bring the product and solution successfully to market.
Work with engineering to facilitate the development of the product requirements document.
Collaborate with Sales and Clinical Product Management to determine product rollout strategy including evaluation sites, limited vs. full commercial release timing, etc.
