Join the Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) in Enabling Technology for a Better World. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Machine Shop, located at our Global headquarters in Jefferson Hills, PA. KJLC is a growing global manufacturer and distributor of vacuum technology.
The Cellular Manufacturing Supervisor will demonstrate machining, welding and detailing skills to provide hands-on supervision of our machinists, welders, and detail technicians in the setup and operation of machine tools, welding equipment, and finishing hand tools. This person will be directly responsible for the performance of all cellular employees on all shifts. They will effectively manage people, equipment, and the facility to support production needs.

Implement corrective and disciplinary action as warranted.
Measure and manage productivity and the allocation of resources, including the control of overtime and hiring of personnel
Maintain effective interface with other operations supervisors and other departments (i.e.; Engineering, Quality, Weld, Manual & Clean) to optimize production and process improvement activity
Work to continuously improve in all areas such as safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Associate degree in a manufacturing field, or certificate from Trade or Technical school in manufacturing
A track record of success in a leadership role, with demonstrated ability to build a team, coach, train, develop, and manage employees exhibiting strong communication and interpersonal skills
Have an extensive machining background
Extensive knowledge of dimensional inspection practices. (GD&T, CMM, Hand Tools)
Working knowledge of programming. (G-Code and Cam software)
Knowledge of 5S and how to maintain the program
Knowledge of Tig welding practices
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer skills
Experience with purchasing and negotiating capital investments
Experience with interviewing, hiring, and discharging employees
Experience executing employee reviews
Knowledge of parts cleaning process
Previous manufacturing experience in the vacuum industry
