Join the Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) in Enabling Technology for a Better World. We are seeking a dynamic, organized individual to join our IT team. KJLC is a growing global manufacturer and distributor of vacuum technology.
The IT Manager will lead and supervise the daily activities of IT employees who are responsible for existing and new hardware, COTS software, network, data and voice communications. This person will ensure timely response to user’s helpdesk requests. Direct the development and deployment of systems and software to meet the tactical needs of the business. They will coordinate high level design efforts of system modifications. Document system standards and compare to best practices. Audit systems and recommend modifications to maintain performance requirements of the organization.
Key Job Elements:
Assess (and sometimes challenge) user requests for new hardware, software, communication equipment, and security changes. Provide guidelines to subordinates on this topic.
Manage four to six full time direct reports. Includes, coaching, development, and performance review.
Coordinate with external consultant resources.
Monitor help desk, staff assignments for load balancing and timeliness.
Provide Level-3 support for user and system issues.
First point of contact for troubleshooting. Lead resolution of multiple system production issues. Includes 24/7 on-call triage.
Assist in development of department budget creation and review variances.
Maintain Nimble Storage Area Network and other Direct Attached Storage systems.
Maintain Windows server infrastructure including: Active Directory, Group Policy, Remote Desktop, File sharing, Replication, Update Services, and other roles as necessary for the operation of the business.
Maintain Inventory and Licensing records.
Gather performance and usage statistics for planning and reporting.
Audit IT standards across the organization.
Evaluate and improve IT processes for continuous improvement.
Computer Science or Information Systems Degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum six years’ experience in multiple IT roles and responsibilities.
Prior Management Experience of Projects and People at department level or above
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Advanced Technical Degree
