MarketSpace is currently looking for a Production Artist to join our team. The skills and requirements are listed below, but if you aren’t interested in working with an awesome team … you might as well stop reading. (Seriously – you aren’t going to stop, are you?!)
If you want to claim the title as MarketSpace’s Production Artist, you’ve got to be able to do the following:
Build print ready mechanicals for publication print advertising (magazines, newspaper), print collateral, books, large format, packaging and specialty print items
Prep and flight-check all files originating from creative and digital teams, including final review of file specifications prior to release and ensuring adherence to client and vendor requirements
Coordinate with creative, digital and account management team members to meet deadlines and deliveries
Collaborate with account executives and designers and art directors to seek approvals for print collateral, and all final print mechanical sign-offs
Collaborate with digital project manager, digital designer and developers to seek approvals for digital files
Support the sourcing of materials needed to execute projects or research
Prepare and assemble creative presentations when needed
Coordinate with printers and other vendors

Ability to work meet client deadlines.
Have a solid knowledge of various printing processes and finishes.
Strong typographic and layout skills and outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization skills are a must.
Strict attention to detail, quality, critical specifications and production requirements.
Proficient in all Adobe Creative Suite programs.
Ability to interpret/communicate feedback on design and color.
Thorough understanding of print-mechanical specifications, ad material specs, and workflow.
Understanding of color profiles including CMYK, RGB and HEX.
4-5 years of agency or in-house experience with production. Graphic design experience a plus.
