As an Engineering Manager on mobile, you will use your expertise for building incredibly sophisticated, performant technology and passion for building world class teams to lead and grow a group of talented software engineers focused on building the world’s most reliable and sophisticated mobile telematics platform and product. We want someone who is smart, flexible, and loves solving difficult challenges to lead your team to move fast, ship code often, continuously increase productivity, and keep us lean. What You’ll Be Doing
Strategically define and execute the vision, architecture, and roadmap for Maven’s mobile platform and lead the team responsible for making it happen.
Lead a team of software engineers responsible for building core foundational mobile infrastructure as well as polished user experiences and products.
Manage the relationship between pushing out value driven features for our customers and resolving technical debt that will allow us to grow.
Work across engineering teams and the rest of the organization to understand organizational goals and priorities that will influence your team’s internal roadmap.
Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team members and assign tasks tailored to skill levels, personalities, and professional growth.
Provide continuous feedback, address underperformance, and recognize the individual strengths and contributions of your team members.
Instill and drive a culture of continuous improvement in your team’s code, architecture, and process.
Own your team’s deliverables and responsibilities and constantly look for areas of improvement as we continue to grow and evolve.
More About You
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
Experience leading a team of mobile engineers at all levels and guiding them through career development.
Experience developing, architecting, and managing large scale mobile applications (preferably with the Android platform).
Experience building intuitive, responsive, and delightful user experiences on mobile.
Passion for building scalable, forward looking, high performant, robust systems.
Ability to motivate and instill a strong sense of ownership and responsibility in your team.
Extremely focused and empathetic to customers and delivering value.
