Job Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating the recruitment function and will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to discover talent, help to build a strong employment brand and ensure that great relationships with both candidates and employees are all met with the company values in mind.
Will also be responsible to work to facilitate and drive HR values administering company culture and a design to win organization.
This position is a split 50/50 within the Recruiting function and administration functions of HR. Primary emphasis in Recruitment is key.
Responsibilities and Duties: Employee Relations • Directs and maintains activities to promote a high level of employee morale. • Provides support and advice to field managers/supervisors as appropriate to ensure legal compliance. This includes compliance with the employee handbook, company policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration: • Maintains accurate employee data in the Paycom system and employee files. • Receives, completes, and returns reports to the third-party administrator to verify unemployment insurance claims. • Administers salary continuation, holiday, vacation, jury duty, personal time etc. policies, insuring compliance with all regulations and applicable policies. • Coordinates employee benefit enrollment and status change processing. • Recommend utilization of our confidential Employee Assistance Program when appropriate. • Issues FMLA paperwork when appropriate, tracks all physician documentation to verify payment of short-term disability and/or FMLA time used. • Tracks all leave information to ensure compliance with FMLA and/or the Short-term disability policies.
Recruiting/Training: • Primary scheduler for the hourly employees. • Maintains optimal hourly staffing levels in the company, based on anticipated production requirements. • Responsible for hiring all hourly, seasonal and clerical positions, as well as exempt positions as assigned. • Conducts job analysis and writes job descriptions for all hourly, clerical and exempt positions. • Conducts orientation classes for new employees. • Responsible for documenting, posting, and awarding job vacancies as they occur. Coordinates recruitment process with hiring management and HR Team. • Conducts exit interviews and provides management with information.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of working experience in Human Resources and Payroll • Experience in a transportation or logistics environment is preferred • Knowledge of Paycom HRIS database is preferred • Must be proficient in MS Office products • Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
