The IT Infrastructure Manager will provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership and management to a group of infrastructure systems and network engineers. The Infrastructure Manager will be a motivated IT leader with a successful track record of training, coaching and mentoring a team of talented engineers. A qualified candidate must have the ability to plan, prioritize, execute, and manage medium to large enterprise infrastructure projects and services. The role demands excellent project management skills, great interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Manage the training, development, performance and day-to-day activities of highly skilled systems and network engineering teams.
Work closely with other teams to align infrastructure initiatives with the IT strategy to ensure business goals are met.
Lead the team to define and implement automated workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
Ensure effective monitoring of all systems and network infrastructure components.
Establish, maintain and report on service level agreements for infrastructure services.
Configuration management; Fault management; and capacity management of the systems and network infrastructure services.
Adherence to latest software and hardware patches and fixes.
Lead the team to identify the appropriate tools and processes to enhance efficiencies in the day to day network operations, maintaining high availability at all times.
Ongoing development, training, coaching and annual performance reviews of associates.
Establish cross-training processes and requirements with the goal to have all Engineers capable of effectively troubleshooting and resolving Incidents for all supported technologies.
Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for Team
Maintain communications with peers and IT teams to maintain awareness of issues or changing process/standards
5 years leadership experience, managing systems and networking teams and enterprise level IT infrastructure technologies
Strong experience managing enterprise wide infra projects; virtual desktop roll-out, Office 365, network segmentation and security initiatives, patch management, PCI exp would be nice to have
Experience working in med-to-large enterprise environment, managing both infrastructure systems and network engineers
At least 5 years leadership experience with enterprise level IT infrastructure technologies
5+ years of experience with systems and networking technologies like Active Directory, Windows Server, networks, and Telephony
5+ years supervisory/leadership of a customer facing IT/Technical team.
Ability to ask appropriate and meaningful questions to gain a clear understanding of technical issues and use this information to determine the most appropriate urgency and course of action
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability influence peers and senior management
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
