The Mechanical Designer designs and develops mechanical components based on standard products and modifies current products for new projects. This person will produce detailed schematics for mechanical components. They must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. They will rely on direction to plan and accomplish goals and will also perform a variety of routine tasks.
Key Job Elements:
Design and detail mechanical components used in the KJLC product lines
Create Bills of Material in the corporate ERP system
Interface with Sales and Product Management to understand project needs
Interface with our internal machine shop to determine cost effective manufacture
Certificate or Degree in Mechanical Design
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Strong 3D CAD experience
Working knowledge of GD&T skills
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design
2 years experience with Solid Edge or other mid-range modeling package
2 years PVD, CVD, or ALD vacuum system design experience
