A Release Coordinator owns the planning and coordination of all phases and activities involved in the release of a system or system update into the production environment. You will identify priorities, conflicts, requirements, and risks for the release. Finally, you will ensure that plans are in place to reduce those risks.
Partner with all Health Plan IT departments to understand the current processes involved in Release Management
Establish standard Release Management procedures
Establish roles and responsibilities within the department
Develop release templates and standards
Obtain commitment from all Health Plan IT departments to adhere to standardized Release Management practices
Rollout Release Management processes to all Health Plan IT departments
Organize cross-departmental collaboration focused on system considerations
Coordinate release planning
Monitor and report all Health Plan IT departments’ release activities
Communicate release status
Identify gaps and recommend improvements from Lessons Learned
Experience working in a release management team
Identify gaps and present improvement recommendations for Release Management
Participate in quality assurance activities in collaboration with Centralized Quality Governance team
Diplomatic personality and sharp interview skills
Experience in a leadership role of IT projects
Azure DevOps Experience
ITIL Foundations certification and ITIL Service Transition certification
Health Care domain knowledge
Familiarity with Mainframe and Web-based platform
Utilize Waterfall and Agile methodologies
