Landis is looking for a BI Developer who will be responsible for the design and development of reports and database applications. The BI Developer will be responsible for supporting data and business intelligence needs across the enterprise. A successful candidate will ensure stakeholders have the information and reporting tools needed to support business processes and will provide technical support of the enterprise data warehouse.
Supports the technical deliveries for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and applications
Interpret business requirements; design, build and test solutions to ensure a high level of data quality and optimal system performance.
Participates in the data design and the creation of database architecture and data repositories.
Responsible for technical documentation that includes architecture diagrams, process flow diagrams, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
Ensures proper balance between front-end systems and back-end processing capabilities.
Verifies and validates all new software or software upgrades, including development and management of test plans.
Provide status updates of work progress to project team and management.
Supports the definition, scope and technical estimates for portions of large complex projects.
Utilize Business Intelligence tools to build and support dashboards.
Contribute to the roadmap for Business Intelligence and data transformation solutions for the team.
Develop a good working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences.
Partner with other team members as well as cross-functional partners to support business processes and system solutions.
1-3 years of experience with SQL/ETL development; MicroStrategy is a plus
Experience with implementation of full phase ETL using tools such as SSIS, Informatica, etc.
Experience with cloud integration technologies
Experience with in-depth understanding of data environment and leverage knowledge to build robust scalable solutions
Hands on experience with relational and dimensional databases
Ability to deliver assigned work tasks within project timelines.
Able to communicate technical concepts to non technical people in both written and verbal communication.
Able to speak with business customs to understand and define a problem.
Able to use problem solving skills to identify alternative solutions and approaches to a problem along with costs and benefits of each (tangible or intangible)
Able to estimate task completion time with reasonable accuracy.
