The Information Technology Manager is responsible for administering all information technology and information systems, as well as designing, proposing, and implementing new IT/IS solutions to meet company needs. This is a hands-on role with an operational focus, but the position must also be able to think strategically and critically to address new challenges.
Computer system selection, ordering, configuration, and deployment by proposing solutions to match company needs, managing vendor relationships for prebuilt systems, assembling custom built systems, and installing software
Traditional “help desk” responsibilities, such as fixing printer and WiFi issues, supporting enterprise client software, installing security and software updates, and diagnosing and repairing hardware issues
Securely erase company data and properly disposing of computer hardware
Network and telecommunication administration including managing our wired and wireless network infrastructure, private and public networks, installing new hardware and cabling, diagnosing and fixing network issues, administering the phone system, and designing and proposing new solutions to meet company needs
Server administration such as selecting, implementing, and managing the hardware, operating systems, virtual machines, and application hosting, for both internal/private servers and customer-facing applications
Customer data hosting and application delivery
Work collaboratively with software engineering on the IT backbone of our customer-facing portal and data
Propose and implement solutions to enhance cross-departmental business processes and meet departmental and company-wide hardware, software, and information system needs, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization
Create and maintain policy and procedure documentation
Propose and implement solutions related to information security
Regularly test established security measures, stay up-to-date on industry trends, and constantly improve protocol
Bachelor’s degree (or Associate's degree with additional experience)
At least five years of progressive information technology and/or information systems experience
Experience with troubleshooting/fixing systems as well as involvement in designing new systems
Experience at high-growth technology startup companies
