SUMMARY We are working with a contractor located in Butler, PA to identify a successful candidate to fill the position of a Purchasing Assistant. This is an administrative position in an office and requires someone that has created, placed and expedited purchase orders (can be for any item, but beyond office supplies).
POSITION Responsibilities include: • Create lists of parts, materials and equipment to be ordered • Send out requests for quotes • Place purchase orders • Track and expedite orders • Check invoices against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with vendor • File updated manuals and drawings for products
Full time work schedule of Monday - Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Pay range $15.00 - $20.00 an hour depending on skills and experience. Benefits are offered.
REQUIREMENTS • Purchasing experience (can be for any item but needs to be beyond office supplies) • Numbers-oriented with previous bookkeeping / accounting experience or skills helpful • Good Word / Excel • Excellent organization and communication skills • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
