The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level, working closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, offboarding, recruitment/employment, benefits management, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, compensation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages and conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers: organizes and attends career fairs (minimal travel required); writes and places advertisements; pro-actively searches for qualified candidates, works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers.
Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Manages all aspects of onboarding, offboarding, new-employee orientations; exit interviews, I-9 management.
Manages benefits, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefits information to employees.
Handles employee relations; provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
Develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
Maintains company organization charts.
Oversees foreign employees work authorizations.
Manages employee timesheets; assists with payroll and 401k functions as needed.
Establishes and maintains HR records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Other HR and administrative duties as required by the position.
Qualifications and Skills
Associates or Bachelors' degree preferred and minimum five (5) years of HRexperience required.
Working knowledge of government rules and regulations governing human resources.
Experience establishing and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
Experience establishing compensation packages.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
Experience in the robotics industry (or technology industry) is a strong plus.
Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Experience with modern ERP systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team of professionals.
