Who We’re Looking For TiER1 is looking for an experienced Technology Strategist who is passionate about the role of technology in impacting human performance to join our consulting team. This person has a well-developed perspective on the intersection of business, people, and technology that they can implement through technology strategies at all levels of our client organizations. The right candidate must be a client-focused consultant who partners with client leaders and internal TiER1 team members to design, develop, and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable speaking to a broad variety of topics - platform selection, IT integration and security, user experience design, implementation and adoption, measurement and analytics, risk mitigation, cost and ROI. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint solutions is a major plus.
Qualifications The position is client-facing and will include onsite time with our clients and collaborative time with our team, with up to 30% travel time. Experience should include:
8+ years of technology-based consulting
Leading strategic technology-related initiatives including learning/talent/content management systems and communication/collaboration platforms
Defining and gaining buy-in on the strategic technology direction for a client engagement, including making recommendations for buying, building, or leveraging existing technology
Eliciting and defining functional requirements utilizing user-centered approaches such as user stories, wireframes, and user experience maps and technical requirements using approaches such as organizational technology analyses and systems integration diagrams
Facilitating large group design sessions and “going to the whiteboard” to visualize concepts and gain alignment
Managing solution delivery with direct accountability for project deliverables and overseeing the work of others (e.g. staff resources or external vendors)
Thriving in a team-based environment working with peers in other domains (such as learning, change, and creative), as well as technology implementation resources (such as software and e-learning developers)
In addition to the position specific qualifications, the right person will have stellar interpersonal skills, the ability to both empathize with and influence others, to cope with a fluctuating workload and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Most importantly, a strong alignment with TiER1 core values is required. This means embracing collaboration, maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit, placing a high value on personal relationships and the opportunity to impact people, driving the creation of value for others for our clients, and exhibiting a very high accountability and personal standards of excellence.
