Our client, a leader in their industry, is actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a full time opportunity in the Coraopolis, PA area. The Senior Software Engineer’s primary function is to design and develop web-based tools and applications to support our client’s business and objectives. Software Engineers work closely with Quality Assurance, Technical Architecture, and other members of development to ensure the success of new products, applications, and new versions of existing products. Software Engineers work with new technology through all phases of the software development life cycle to produce and enhance scalable and robust software applications.
Develops web-based tools and applications to support all phases of our client’s business operations
Translates application requirements into a robust well designed technical solution
Uses Rapid Applications Development techniques employing object oriented design and development to produce solutions
Performs unit testing on software applications
Debugs software and fix defects uncovered during the testing process
Works with application analysts or coordinators, test engineers, and technical writers to ensure the successful roll-out of new applications or features
Provides mentorship to junior members of the Software Engineering team
The Development Team Lead is assigned responsibility and accountability for overseeing the successful completion of all work assigned
The Development Team Lead fosters a positive work environment by mentoring, supporting, and committing to the professional development of Application Team members.
Develop and manage short and long-term plans and schedules.
Provide mentorship and guidance to the team members to achieve highest levels of quality and productivity.
Lead the software development projects from idea to implementation by tracking and managing progress, risks and dependencies.
Help software architects to design solutions to support growing business needs while thoroughly considering the system impact.
7-10 years work experience in a development role
Full lifecycle project experience
Experience in event-driven programming and multi-tiered Client/Server architectures
Strong experience with building applications using: C#, XML, ASP.Net, SQL Server
Team Foundation Server or GIT
Android (Studio & SDK), Java,3rd party A strong understanding of Object Oriented concepts
Mobile technologies XCode, Swift,3rd party libraries.
Experience in XML, HTML, Storyboard, Photoshop is a plus.
Database design and programming (Microsoft SQL Server)
SQL Server Reporting Services
Logical thinker with ability to develop well structured designs for complex applications
Effective in fast paced environment
Collaborative/enjoys working in teams
Creative and effective problem solving skills
Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently
