The Senior SOA Developer’s role is to analyze, architect, design and develop solutions to complex business and technical problems across the corporation’s distributed enterprise systems. This position requires strong architectural, design and development experience with Oracle’s Fusion Middleware suite of tools. You will perform hands-on software development and provide architectural governance for all software developed within Oracle’s middleware products.
Translate business requirements into software design documents by working with analysists, consultants and end users
Implement solutions using Oracle's Fusion Middleware Suite
Ensure that the solutions are delivered to specification and meet business requirements
Utilize knowledge of Service-oriented Architecture ( SOA ) to contribute to the construction of optimized interfaces between distinct systems within the enterprise
Work with the support team and the operations team to identify components within a large distributed system that require excessive manual intervention
Recommend programmatic fixes that minimize the system’s total cost of ownership, design and develop those fixes
Create test plans, test cases, test scripts then perform unit and load testing for all the integrations
Create standards for the construction of reliable and robust middleware using established Service-oriented architectural design patterns
Provide Service-oriented architectural governance to the development team and to consulting partners
Enforce those standards, reject designs when either reliability or robustness is at risk
Serve as the SME for design and development of the company’s middleware
Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues
Create and maintain design artifacts, run books and knowledge base
Perform peer reviews of developer’s code and unit tests
Document requirements, assumptions, processes
Mentor development teams
Provide technical guidance to all departments by creating a knowledge base of best practices
Bachelor’s degree or related experience
Technical skills including:
SOAP, WSDL, REST
XML, XSD, XLST, XPath, XQuery
ETL ( ODI )
Primary focus is on day to day management of operational execution for areas managed
Trains and develops staff, plan the work flow, and directs available resources to accomplish process improvement
Lead work flow changes and implementations for direct team
Problems and issues are undefined require detailed info gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand/resolve
Make decisions that address work flow issues considering immediate impact on own function or work unit
