SUMMARY We are currently working with a highly successful privately held manufacturer of engineered products to identify an experienced Regional Sales Manager. This company has been in business over 50 years and is in a growth mode. Recently they’ve grown by 20% in revenue last year, with a future growth strategy to grow by at least 10% each year over the next five years. This position is open due to an upcoming retirement of a 15-year veteran of the company.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, in summary the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving and supporting overall sales force effectiveness by managing independent sales representatives and managing existing accounts within a territory, while developing new regional accounts based on annual growth targets. This person will work internally within a team of other regional sales managers and have the internal support of a team of inside sales reps and customer service specialists.

The Regional Sales Manager requires a driven and persistent team player, with excellent communication and relationship building qualities, who can think creatively/out of the box.
POSITION Responsibilities include: • Evaluation of market and territory sales • Preparation of quotations and submittals • Creating PowerPoint presentations • Presenting lunch-n-learns with engineers and architects • Traveling to visit representatives for training and sales calls • Monitoring sales of existing independent sales representative’s sales • Interviewing/Hiring, as well as training independent sales representatives in poor performing areas • Developing national accounts • Attending trade shows • Working with internal inside sales staff and effectively communicate with all departments
REQUIREMENTS • 5+ years sales management experience including people management experience • Must have engineered product manufacturing industry experience and an understanding of technical products (mechanically and electrically inclined) • Experience working with manufacturing representatives, dealers and or distributors highly preferred • Experience using CRM system(s) • Ability to travel up to 25% • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
