Job Responsibilities and Duties
This position is responsible for supporting Project Managers on multiple projects involving engineering development, maturation, and implementation of autonomous technologies for unmanned aerial vehicle applications. Directed by Project Managers, the Technical Project Analyst performs assigned managerial tasks, following defined approaches to track project resources, expenditures, and progress while also assisting PMs in coordinating project activities. This is an entry-level position with a growth path to become a Project Manager.
Summary of responsibilities includes:
Regularly track project expenditures and resources, monitoring dependencies, requirements, and progress towards project completion.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of financial tracking and resource allocation tools addressing evolving business needs.
Assist with communicating expenditures, schedule status, resourcing, technical progress, and a path forward towards fulfillment of milestones and deliverables.
Provide support to document and convey project status to internal stakeholders and external customers via quad charts, monthly reports, and presentations.
Support Project Managers in facilitating the creation and management of proposals and project plans including budgets, schedules, work breakdowns, Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), and tasking necessary to achieve project objectives.
Areas for growth include a path to become a Project Manager:
Work with technical project leads and Program Managers to plan and execute company projects.
Develop comprehensive project plans including technical scope, cost estimates, and schedule projections in support of strategic planning, business development, and proposal activities.
Provide/recommend solutions for resolution of issues, including resource and priority conflicts, within and between projects.
Assist with configuration management, information management, test data support, documentation management, integrated logistics support, and quality assurance activities across projects and/or product lifecycles.
Evaluate recommended changes/improvements to quality improvement processes, procedures, policies, and plans.
Interface with Program Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineering personnel in support of various company initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology or engineering-related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project, with Word and PowerPoint proficiency a plus.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills and be a multi-tasker; able to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with high-tech or robotics enterprises is a plus.
Prior experience contributing to R&D and/or technology maturation efforts is a plus.
Prior project management experience is a plus.
