Responsibilities and Duties
The Robotics Motion Planning Engineer works to develop and refine motion planning algorithms for aerial mobility and inspection applications. Candidates are highly motivated, independent thinkers that enjoy a variety of projects and work well in dynamic team environments. Candidates work in multiple phases of the software lifecycle to deliver well-tested code for safe aerial vehicle decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Good C++ design and programming skills.
Strong interest in search, optimization, and efficiency algorithms.
Familiarity with motion planning algorithms that include discrete search, randomized search, and optimization methods.
Masters or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Familiarity with Python.
Implementation of motion planning algorithms.
Experience with control, prediction, and statistical methods.
Experience with ROS.
Experience with software process life-cycles, test, and dev ops tools (such as Atlassian).
