Job Summary As part of the Hardware Development Group, the Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, test, and contribute to the production of systems for autonomous aviation. The designs must accommodate a range of sensors, aircraft, and environments. The system maturities range from prototypes to products. Required Qualifications and Skills - BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Solidworks.
- Minimum of one product design/build/delivery cycle.
Desired Experience - Systems development for aviation/aerospace/defense markets.
- Experience with Configuration Management practices.
- System qualification, verification, and validation.
- Opto-mechanical design (windows, lenses, cameras).
- Precision actuators/gimbals.
- Design, analysis, and characterization for thermal, vibration, and ingress protection.
