Location: Sheetz Innovation & Technology Hub – Bakery Square, PA
The Sheetz IT Applications and Development Department is seeking An Applications Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will become part of a project team focused on the development and support of new and existing mobile applications in a timely fashion as requested by other areas of the business.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other field of study which includes courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering is preferred.
3-5 years of application development experience
Understand the Agile Software Development methodology
Have knowledge and understanding of secure coding practices
Understand the different layers of application architecture (service, resource, logging, testing, etc.)
Understand RESTful APIs and be able to create them using JAX-RS specifications
Have experience with API-first methodologies like OpenAPI / Swagger for building REST API designs
Understand micro-services and have experience developing them
Have experience developing projects using either the IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE
Have experience with Relational Databases like MS SQL, H2, MySQL, and Oracle
Understand how to configure and deploy applications to Apache Tomcat and Apache Web Server
Possess an in-depth understanding of the Red Hat Linux operating system
