As an Enterprise Architect Sr. within PNC's Technology Transformation Architecture organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. Remote opportunities may be available for the right candidate. The Enterprise Architect Sr will work on a team that focuses on data technology. This role will be responsible for determining the logical design and information management strategies necessary to store, move and manage data in a new target state or an alternative version of an existing state. The Enterprise Data Architect will define reference architectures, patterns, standards and best practices to aid MIS architects and provide architecture assurance oversight on the solution architectures that are built by MIS architects in departments or business unit.
Provides subject matter expertise for enterprise architecture, enterprise architecture teams, and clients. Guides on enterprise architecture projects and business relationship management. Creates strategic roadmaps for transitioning to target enterprise future state, in alignment with business and technology goals while analyzing client requirements and collaborating with R&D divisions to provide ongoing support.
Leads in the implementation of enterprise architecture strategies and best practices to support business objectives, while focusing on enterprise standards, processes, and methodologies.
Provides guidance to enterprise architects on defining technical service capabilities, design attributes, draft enterprise profiles and segment architecture; controls risks and solves complex issues related to enterprise architecture.
Maintains relationships with stakeholders, addresses stakeholder requirements and provides clients consultations to shape the future success of enterprise architecture while also mitigating risk.
Provides enterprise architecture support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Has Enterprise Architecture experience (TOGAF or Zachman is a plus)
• Has Experience in building modern advance analytic platforms
• Has experience with Data Warehousing Frameworks (Inmon, Kimball, Teradata, IBM, etc)
• Dimensional modeling
• Senior person that is a self-starter
• Can form and articulate a technology position and has the ability to gain agreement
• Data architecture experience
o Master Data Management
o Data Management
o BI / Analytics
o Data Warehousing
o Object Storage or other high speed distributed file systems/ databases
o Use of GPU for analytics
• Has experience with some or all of the following:
o Hadoop ecosystem
o SAS/ SAS Viya
o Anacondao Informatica
o Azure or other cloud native analytics/ BI/ Data warehousing tech
o Object storage o Containers / kubernetes o BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc)
o Search (Elastic, etc)
Preferred would be a candidate who has recently created a data architecture supporting the move of analytics or data warehousing to the cloud. The candidate should be experienced in writing architectural position papers, creating artifacts that support the strategic direction of technology for the enterprise, and putting together strategies and road maps around advanced analytics.
