This person is an integral part of the Human Resource team and a resource for all employees. They are responsible to seek out efficiencies in department specifically regarding compliance, ADP and Payroll. Keeps Human Resource reporting and information current and filed properly. Handles confidential administrative duties. May handle employee issues surrounding concerns, benefits, hiring, and terminations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
• Preparation and processing of payroll for the company. • Continuing to learn and grow with all payroll compliance and payroll laws. • Assist with or complete new employee orientation and training on HR and Benefit topics. • Update all Human Resource reporting as necessary. Reports may be daily, weekly, monthly or adhoc. • Communicate with employees in a timely manner on any issues. • Communication with brokers and other 3rd party assistance or products when necessary. • Assist and move forward shared projects. • Assist with all necessary awards and needs for all company meetings (i.e. Time in Service, Standing Ovation Awards, etc.). • Maintain employee filing and ensure compliance. • Assist with benefit communications and enrollment. • Ensure accuracy on employee deductions, taxes, company taxes, additions, changes, terminations. • Develop announcements and monthly messages for bulletin boards or internal communications. • Assist with administration of benefits, 401K program materials, including enrollments, FSA, COBRA, etc. • Supporting the team with Company events, parties, and employee engagement. • Assists in any other requested capacity. • Has a strong work ethic with a flair for fun and engagement. . • Fantastic organizational and time management skills (works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines). • Strong problem solving/analysis and decision-making skills. • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. • Computer proficiency including email, Word, Excel, payroll software (ADP preferred). • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Having a strong understanding of Labor Law and Payroll compliance. • Positive attitude and commitment to Century Core Values and Core Competencies. • Strong team player. • Knowledge of and access to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or Accounting with the equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. • 2 years or more experience as an HR or Payroll Coordinator.
