You will be responsible for the ordering of optimum levels of supplies and consumables maintained as official inventory for the company. You will also focus on maintenance with regard to inventory levels, inventory adjustments, purchase price and unit of measure, as needed. You will also support the field for inventory adjustment control, explanation, analysis, audit and expediting of low and/or stock-out orders and managing excess materials.
Manage the inventory levels in our warehouses and recommend and adjusts restock levels at all sites based on current activity, forecasts using analytical reporting
Coordinate all activities required to ensure all required equipment and materials are procured and delivered to meet project requirements
Monitor equipment and material lead times for the items relevant to the projects
Support S&OP leaders, and assess velocity of key products thru the service centers, recommending system wide stocking levels and locations
Manage Stocking Agreements/Requests and reviews activities and follows ups with new recommendations
Communicate to Service Centers and manufacturers
Identify any items that are surplus to actual requirements and work with Investment Recovery Department to recommend the appropriate disposition of the item
Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management / Business Logistics
Experience in Material Planning for Electric Utilities (Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Substation)
Background in Lean and/or Six Sigma with certification
Proven of Experience in Supply Chain Management Role
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases especially excel
Negotiation and analytical skills
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated problem-assessment and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service focus, with ability to build credibility with internal clients and external suppliers
