Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field required
Minimum 2 years auditing experience or related business experience required
CIA, CPA, CISA or willingness to pursue certification preferred
Experience within the mutual fund or financial services industry preferred
Experience conducting operational/process audits a plus
Experience with data analytics concepts/tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word required
This position assists with planning and performing operational, compliance, financial and third party service provider audits in accordance with Federated’s overall Internal Audit program.
Assist Audit Management in planning, performing and documenting assigned audits in accordance with department policies and procedures
Perform and document all phases of assigned audits including planning and internal control assessments, testing of controls and reporting of results and recommendations
Assume the role of in-charge auditor; lead on-site engagements of non-Pittsburgh based Federated entities as well as third party service providers as requested
Assist Staff Auditors in performance and documenting of internal control assessments and testing of controls
Make recommendations to correct deficiencies identified through audit testing and communicate audit issues to Auditees under the direction of Audit Management
Draft audit comments or audit reports under the direction of Audit Management
Review audit workpapers
Train Staff Auditors as requested
Assist in the performance of special reviews
Assist in the review of potential audit topics and audit approach; make recommendations for improvement to Audit Management
Responsible for maintaining professional competence through review of current accounting/auditing and mutual fund industry literature and attendance at relevant seminars, conferences and training sessions.
Responsible for personal conduct in accordance with the Federated Internal Audit Charter and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
