Cranberry Township, Butler County, is seeking applicants for a full-time Director of the Department of Information Technology. Cranberry Township is a growing residential and business community. As the Director of Information Technology, the incumbent for this position will play an integral role in maintaining and developing the Township’s technology system. This position requires a hands-on role with respect to configuring the Township’s IT infrastructure and managing IT staff. The environment consists of multiple sites networked together running HP switches/routers, Microsoft servers, Office 365, SQL servers and many enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be able to manage projects including enterprise software implementations, develop long-range technology plans, provide security of the technology assets, enhance the Township’s GIS services and lead the migration of resources to the cloud.

A leadership style that is firm and goal oriented, and yet motivates, trains, and engages others in an enthusiastic way is important. The successful candidate for this position will be able to provides results by engaging the commitment of others and focus on idea generation and innovating and creative problem solving.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field with a minimum of six years’ related experience/training in an IS/MIS/IT management role. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. All applicants must complete an evaluation, meet a target job assessment and meet a target leadership assessment.
Certifications related to project management, ITIL, Microsoft infrastructure, Azure, Office 365, SQL and GIS are preferred.
