Our client, a leader in their industry, is actively seeking a Technical Support Specialist for a contract opportunity in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This role will assist on a converting our client from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The ideal candodate will copy files, set up printers, email and basic support for people new to Windows 10.
Responds to telephone calls, walk up requests, and emails from users for technical support, including Windows, MS Office,
Adobe applications and collaboration technologies (WebEx, Skype, Teams).
Maintains personal queue for issues not resolved with initial contact to user.
Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution.
Analyzes, documents, and escalates requests to appropriate queue when necessary.
Participates in user support, troubleshooting, configurations, imaging and disabling of systems, PCs and Laptops.
Collaborates with other IT personnel and business units on assigned projects.
Participates on major project implementations and normal day-to-day incidents and requests.
Responds to escalated service requests.
Provides occasional after hours support when necessary.
2+ years of system support experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer hardware and software.
Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic IT Support issues dealing with Microsoft Windows computers, hardware and software installation, and network connectivity.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personnel services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Associates’ Degree in Information Systems required
Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
