Designing and implementing the UI for new application features
Designing and implementing code infrastructure for component reuse
Writing Developer level tests (unit, component, etc.) to ensure quality
Working with Java API developers to come up with software contracts that UI will interact with
Working with Marketing and Testers to ensure the quality and timing of new release deployments
Operating with a DevOps mindset to get the UI business features built and deployed through the various QA environments and production

This role will initially be based in our Murrysville office. Philips will be relocating this office to a new site in Bakery Square, one of the premier locations in Pittsburgh. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this new location will be the Sleep & Respiratory Center of Excellence. The new office is set to open in late 2020.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree or better in computer science or similar technical discipline
Four (4) years or more of professional experience building interactive and responsive web applications using web standard technologies
Demonstrable experience and fluency with AngularJS / Angular 2+, jQuery and the Document Object Model (DOM)
Strong expertise with HTML, CSS (Bootstrap, Foundation, or Skeleton), CSS pre-processors (LESS, SASS) and writing cross-browser compatible code
Strong experience working with Restful APIs
Exceptional knowledge of object-oriented design, including design patterns
Experience working in an agile environment demonstrating outstanding attention to detail and software quality with a passion for user experience and front-end architecture
Experience with and understanding of Git
Any experience with the technologies and concepts below will be added strengths
Familiarity with usability and accessibility best practices
Experience upgrading an angularJS application to angular 2+
Experience with Karma and/or testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Mocha, or Protractor.
Experience working with Node.js, Bower, Gulp or Grunt.
Experience with CloudFoundry, Heroku, AWS, Docker or similar
Experience or familiarity with concept of continuous integration
Experience or familiarity with Behavior-driven/test-driven development
Understanding of and/or experience with Java and Spring Framework
Cross-platform solutions like PhoneGap/Cordova a plus
User Experience (UX) analysis/design.
